There are plenty of ways you can help us! Word of mouth always goes a long way :) tell your friends, coworkers, anyone who could be of help.

If you want to put in a bit more effort for the search, here is what you can do! If you were there in the 90s during the original airings, go ahead and search to see if you have anything recorded. Hell, even if you didnt record it directly, if you have any home videos or anything where it is playing in the background, that also helps!

If you are a bit younger, you could always ask your parents, a teacher, or an older relative or friend that may have it somewhere.

Finally, web searching! Just like anything, there are most likely recordings or images of these early seasons online. Dive through the depths of the internet, anywhere you think might have something!

Now, if you have any other ideas for a way you want to search, go ahead! These are just tips, but anything you can find will mean the world to Simpsons enthusiasts all over the world.

What is That Brice Ego?

“That Brice Ego”, or “Brice Ego Death”, generally refers to the Mandela effect, where due to a season four retcon, people forget that the Simpsons used to be Turquoise.

In seasons one through three, the Simpsons were all turquoise, instead of yellow. One of the plot points, was that Bart Simpson used to have a yellow arm. Due to this, he hired an Astral Walker, specifically a spray can one, to paint all of the other Simpsons yellow, including the rest of his own body, so his arm doesn’t stand out.

It also refers to Homer Simpson, who used to be known as Brice, before season four. But, after this arc, towards the end of season four, they decided to retcon this, And all TV airings and DVD or Blue ray copies were altered to make them yellow. Most younger people don’t remember this, so if you didn’t watch the first four seasons as they were originally airing, you would not know about the Turquoise Origin.

The “Ego” aspect, refers to when one internet user uploaded a gif of a scene from the original seasons captioned “That Brice Ego”, putting this concept back into the public eye.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to recover as much of this original simpsons content, which is all currently considered lost media (not including the found ones, of course.)
